I have the exact same thing and my ortho doctor diagnosed it as Bursitis of the hip joint.

Now, I also have awful ovarian cysts that rupture sometimes and the pain from that is in the same area; however, that would have showed up on your ultrasound if you had it done right when the pain is happening.

I hope you get it figured out... that is awful to live in pain and don't know what it is.
