Jesus (sorry), that's just wrong. I don't know how your hymen got busted (it's easy to bust and not just from sex!!!), and I could care less. I hope this was YOUR choice and not forced on you.

I'm a RN, so here is some advice. Take the pain meds as proscribed. If your doctor gave you narcotics, don't be afraid of taking them. If you're truly in pain, take the meds. Remember though, it's ok to be "sore". It reminds you to take it easy and to not hurt yourself or pop your sutures. Just like when a guy goes for a Vasectomy, I'm going to suggest sitting on something cold. A bag of frozen peas? A gel cold pack? The cold will reduce the swelling and will ease the pain.

Look up your medications. If none are NSAIDS (Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatories), like Advil or Alive, then take those as directed on the packaging. If you were given an NSAID DO NOT TAKE EXTRA, there could be side effects. If you have questions, call your doctors office or the pharmacy where you got your meds from. They can help you figure out what you have and what is safe to take.

I'm sorry you are going through this. I hope you find it worthwhile in the end.
