I need some new ideas for depression. I just moved home again for the first time in 2 and a half years. I graduated from college so I moved out of my dorm. I did the classic.. "sleep all day thing because I was too depressed to get up..." That usually happens when I'm just worn out from all of my various coping strategies and don't want to deal with trying to "cope" for the day.

Here's some things I do:

1. Focus on my work/business- like REALLY focus for hours on end.
2. Watch T.V.
3. Watch T.V. and eat food (my T thinks I have an ED but, it helps me cope)
4. Pray, Study the Word, Worship= basically spiritual things.
5. Listen to music... a lot of music!
6. Write
7. Watch funny YouTube videos
8. Hang out with my younger brother.

(I can't do anything active because of the joint and muscle problems in my body or I would. I should probably try harder to be active but, it's kind of like...who wants to be active when their entire body is in pain?!)

These coping skills... I need more... please help me. The last time I lived at home.. I have a lot of dark memories of a past depression here...memories where I cut myself, had some negative thoughts etc. I love my family. However, for some reason I am usually depressed at home. The only thing that numbs me is food....so any other ideas? I used to write on psychcentral more often as a coping skill so obviously I'm seeking out some of my old ones and new ones again. I am usually positive... I just want to complain so badly instead of just being positive to everyone... sometimes people need to see that someone close to them is hurting.

Anyways, any ideas welcomed.... please!!!

The End.
