Original person (who started the thread) Yes, welcome to PsychCentral. I'm reminded of a ring I have of my grandmothers that was made in China before the Communists, 24 carat gold, and it has Chinese characters written in the inside of the band and I took it into a New York jeweler in Chinatown and asked what they said and they looked at me and said "24 carat" and I said, "I know, but what does it say" :-) My girlfriend and the jeweler said, again, at the exact same time, "24 carat!".
