I experienced four phases of bipolar disorder till now, the first phase when my energy levels and mood were down i was depressed and had pessimestic ideas, the second phase when my energy levels and mood was high i was manic and often elated with flight of ideas, the third phase when my energy was high but my mood was low, i was in a mixed state phase i used to be angry, nervous, agitated and irritated and thoughts that aren't normal cross my mind, wanted to perform acts that i haven't done before and this phase usually recurs many times, the fourth phase i experienced was when my energy was down and my mood was high, i was resting all day but i was cheerful and that only happens for a short time every long time, so my question is are these changes in mood and energy levels are normal, is it the course of the illness or the medication that happens to change my way of thinking every time and change me from one phase to another, and one thing i would like to mention that these phases change over a period less than a year maybe less, these are rapid fluctuations, i used to think is it possible that these fluctuations have a time formula because they differ not according to seasons ie in winter i can be manic and the next winter i am depressed, and in summer i can be in a state of authemia normal mood and the next summer i become irritated, agitated, nervous, so my mood and energy patterns as well as thinking patterns change randomly, so what is the solution to this disorder ?

Bipolar disorder is it a life long illness or can it be cured at a certain age ?
