Both psychiatrists I've employed gave me all the time as I needed, up to 1.5hrs. Of course I has to pay, but I'm many cases it was less than a therapists. I also had their bat numbers so if I was in crisis I could get help. They set the bar quite high. The first one I finally allowed to retire because I found the second one. But now the second one moved to MT and I'm in crisis at a loss. I'm tempted to call my first one, I know he would take pity on me, but I don't want to abuse the privelage.

You need to demand what you need. You are the paying customer. I also have been in therapy for 20+ years so I've written a history and give it to the psychiatrist before or on the first session. I expect them to read it and be familiar with my history, or I walk out.
