Background: I've done the piercing thing many times and, you can't tell now- but at one point I had something like 17 piercings in various places including nose and eyebrow [some others were visible outside of clothing, some only under it]. I still retain 7 of them, including tongue, conch, and surface piercing on the back of my neck.
During that time i had various jobs including ones where I had to do the whole "be professional management and wear a suit" thing... just so you know where I'm coming from with that.
My suggestion would be to do the horizontal brow piercings right now. it is interesting, kind of straddles a certain kind of sophisticated and interesting, takes skill and looks clean. If you have everything else about you together, i actually feel like that would be acceptable in a music department of most universities. I don't personally feel a septum piercing is all that interesting, but that is obviously a matter of taste.
Having said THAT, however- it tends to be more intimidating a piercing visually. Therefore, those unacquainted with piercings in general are more likely to attach a stigma to them and be less flexible when it comes to dress policies, etc.
I do really think the horizontal eyebrow piercing can look really good, and you seem well enough acquainted with piercings on the outset to be able to take care of something like that- not every one is, so it is unlikely to be as common a piercing.
But if you still want both, I would suggest getting the horizontal brow now, settling into a comfortable professional position and then revisiting any other facial piercings you may be interested in.
If you conduct yourself professionally, I feel like you could definitely get away with the horizontal.
