I mean crap without proper context they could make all kinds of ridiculous assumptions based on what they hear over the phone and such. Also where do they get the funding to do this spying...if it comes out of taxes I see it as a big waste.

Yes it is creepy and it is the tax dollar that pays for funding.
Also under the Patriot Act they can call almost everything, like people committing fraud " getting disability payments from the government when they are functionable " an actional offence and a matter of national security.
Anything electronic specially Facebook and pm aren't "private".
This is how they caught over 200 people in the tri state area.
Cops, public employees, firefighters all collecting disability and posting pictures
or video on youtube.
It would be great if they did an in house investigation and look at elected people who are collecting BIG money and leave real people in need peace to heal. And stop sending out letters that sound threatening.
