It is hard being a mom, we worry all the time about our children, sometimes causing overprotectiveness. I'm sorry she is a bad as all that, control is a hard thing to deal with, it may seem like she wants to control you but maybe she is trying to protect you from harm in any way. She should not let you not have friends although, she is probably having her own mental problems? I also used to think that about my mom, which was in some way your situation, she didn't like me having friends and drove me away from them, and visa versa, but she thought it was for my own good as i was becoming an alcoholic.
