Ok so in this study they raised rats in an isolated environment and it actually changed their dopamine receptors to a higher affinity form which is like priming them for psychosis. Lewis Thomas in the life of the cell talked about ants that lose contact with their colony and they just die. We're supposed to be socially connected.
