Hi Mysterygirl, it does sound like you're going through a tough time right now. but it is really good that you actually asked for help. I know that didn't go well but there are people who can just "freeze" if they are asked for help with anything like that and "don't know what to do". That doesn't necessarily mean that they care any the less, they maybe just feel a little "out of their depth". But then maybe you could give your sister an idea of what to do/of what you want her to do e.g. "I just want you to listen", "I just want you to help me find out how to change things", "I just want you to understand how I'm feeling", "I just need you to be there", "I just want you to help me feel better about things".....basically whatever you want.
But it might help if you told some of your friends a little about how you're feeling too. They may very genuinely not have realized and maybe would want to change things if they were to realize.
And the time they're spending with their boyfriends, well that doesn't necessarily mean that they're "moving on". It may mean things are a bit different, but you can still make the most of the time you do spend with them. Maybe try to schedule in with them some specific times/dates you can hook up with them without their boyfriends??
If they're not buying in though, then as people grow older they may change, and the friends you needed then may not be the friends you need now.
And you're in college, that's a great place to meet different people, hook up, and kick off more friendships. And maybe friendships which are better for you now than some of your other friendships. So go for it!!!!
And you don't have to have lots of people around to be able to enjoy your birthday, just think about what you want to do, and do it. Anyone else "along for the ride" is just a bit of a bonus.
