Here are the recommended guidelines on my bottle. Each pill contains 1105mg of O3 (780mg EPA, 260mg DHA, and 65mg other omega-3), so you can adjust for your brand:
- General health: 1/day
- Triglyceride reduction: 3-4/day
- Heart health: 2/day
- Joint health: 2-4/day
- Mood disorders: 2/day
- Do not take more than 4 capsules/day (= 4420mg).
I haven't actually noticed any benefits from taking fish oils (have been taking 2000-3000mg/day for 6 months, along with eating a very healthy diet, taking meds, etc). However, I've read that they can take a while to have an impact, although literature generally does not specify how long this might be. Good luck!
