I have been on disability for a year through my company. 6 months of STD and now 5 months of LTD. I was laid off in November. I was first diagnosed with major depressive disorder, anxiety and panic. They recently changed it to BP II.
I was told I had to attend an intensive outpatient program 4 days a week because I wasn't getting any better. I've been in counseling for a year. They also have an attorney helping me to try for SSD.
The IOP has been hell for me because I am practically agoraphobic. If my husband drove I would be agoraphobic but he doesn't so instead he has to go everywhere with me and I don't go in unless I have to.
I still have problems with activities of daily living and major anxiety/panic. I just started with a new psychiatrist and of course he is changing my meds.
Are any of you on long term disability through SSD for these issues?
There is no way I can work when I can't even shower or go anywhere without my husband.
Just looking for some hope as I constantly obsess they will cancel my LTD and we'll be homeless.
Thanks!
