I've been through this. I was panicked, so much so I didn't sleep for 3 weeks, couldn't eat for 3 weeks and lost 30 pounds over those 3 weeks. It was unbearable so I was eventually put on anti-anxiety meds.
I do practice meditation when I'm struggling and it does help. If I can't get my mind to refocus I meditate looking at a flickering candle flame. That usually helps.
