You might just be looking at your childhood experience with an adult lens.. which is a very differenet perspective than child-you. We normalize things as children that we wouldn't accept as adults. At the same time, kids can be freaked out by things that would unfaze most adults - such as really believing that the monster in the movie is real.
Do you have an alright relationship with your parents? If so, why not ask them? I know that my brother had to go to anger-management classes for a few years while we were in school - he was a really angry person! (Still is...).

Nope I've never been an angry person (except when manic, but I didn't have symptoms of that till U was in high school)
Asking my parents...oof...I really don't wanna ask my dad because he drinks a lot and anything that is remotely abstract, he just doesn't understand. Then there's my mom, I asked her once and got nothing. I don't know if she doesn't know or what she's doing...bottom line,I don't want to ask them again.
