Can you ask your psychiatrist who he or she would suggest?
Most cases, pdocs only deal with medication monitoring/changes.
Years ago a pdoc would do both meds and talk therapy, but so many have seperated from that, leading patients to 2 seperate professionals to see.
From personal experience(s), I prefer talking with a psychologist vs a licensed social worker (counselar) when a need for "talk therapy" is necessary in adjunct to pdoc's meds. and appt. co-ordinations.
