I have never discussed religion or spirituality with a T before, but I have never been in a place in my life where I wanted to deal with my issues.

My issue with religion is that I believe one thing, but was "taught" another. So I struggle with balance, self-acceptance, guilt, etc. This is why I don't want someone who is going to try to sway me to their beliefs. I don't think my T would.

My T went to a christian college... The meaning of her name is extremely christian. Other little things point to Christianity. But then, she lent me a book of hers that she said she fully believes in, and it has more Buddhist foundation. And today she gave me meditation cd's to listen to.

I don't care if she's christian or Buddhist or something else. My only fear is that if she is christian, and finds out that my issues with guilt come from Christianity, is that going to conflict with her? Idk. I just know that she would probably be the safest person to work this out with, but I don't want to disrespect her or her to disrespect me. Why I wanted to know if anyone has had experience with this.
