Its not so much what it's going to do but what its going to stop from happening. I know none of the APs work great for you so you're not going to be symptom free but you need to take enough to stay out the hospital...if you stop taking it altogether that is likely to happen because even people without sz will get psychosis from rapid AP withdrawal after taking it for a while.
Maybe you can use a second passive process like putting it into google calendar or something--I know that will e-mail you but it will also send push notifications to you phone if you have a smart phone and they can be configured to be silent so if you look at your phone it will say take meds or whatever and then dismiss when you unlock.
