There's a new novel out in the UK called Red Tears by Joanna Kenrick in which the main character self harms. It's written for teenagers, but I ordered it anyway. So far it seems well written and is an accurate portrayal of self harm. She did a a lot of research into the subject with people from the bodies under seige website.
It's available through Amazon.uk.co and my copy reached me in just over a week.
