Thanks...I've never tried...my sister is way better than me and more familiar with the scene here she actually started going to school for art...Chicago itself is pretty high powered and so is the suburb I live in there is actually an arts district and everything so it's a little over my head but I might be able to sell something through the art league or something though because those are often less experienced artists and they put together a show every now and then with like one piece of everybodies work. Oh my gosh you don't have to go to art school to be a good artist!
You just lack confidence. Don't compare your artwork to anyone else. That's a big no no.
Look around and see if there is an artisins Guild in your area. It is a shop for local artists where you display your artwork for sale or you could also rent a space at an art show during the summer months. craft fairs are also a good idea as long as you don't price your paintings too high.
Once you sell a few paintings you'll realize that you're not as bad as you think you are!
