When I did have insurance and was working in California. Kaiser permanente had a program called intensive outpatient treatment. You pretty much had to go on state disablilty because it was like 6 hours a day. Lots of groups and stuff. CBT. I have never heard of an inpatient depression only treatment center. That is a shame. There are plenty of alcohol and drug treatment centers. I have been to one. I was once inpatient in a mental hospital against my will for a full blown manic episode triggered by meth withdrawal when I got sober. They did have a treatment plan in there though. See the pychiatrist, go to groups, talk to the nurse every day about how you were doing. This was all in California.
