Welcome, I, too, was treated for unipolar depression for most of my life & it wasn't working. Saw a new doc about 6 years ago (I'm 52) & was dxed as bp 1. My mother was bp so that should have been a clue. I'm doing much better after an awful year of finding the right meds--so many side effects. Now pretty happy in life, though I did have a relapse last Aug. & ODed. Still trying to get over that. I shocked myself. I had been stable for about 5 years!
