Call a phone number and get help researching plans and getting good numbers. I own my home and have enough money to get whatever plan I want (unemployed/retired, too young for Medicare yet) and buy premium plans and they're only around $400.
Or, try ehealthinsurance.com they just ask for your ZIP code, sex, date of birth and then you can check off how much you want to pay ("under $400") and they will only show you those plans (my choices had one at $338 when I did it just now).
