I have re-read this post and sent a copy to my daughter to help her understand her daughter.

As I have been viewing the posts in here I have felt “old” (mind you I am old

As I slowly re-read the portion below I saw how true it is for me.

21. Research has shown that by the ages of 30-35, people seem to start to ‘grow out’ of the condition. With more adult maturity, sufferers are able to gain insight into their condition and realise that they are able to control their world through positive change, by building different skills.

I didn’t ‘grow out’ of the condition per say but I did learn how to relate to myself and “selves” and build healthy inner-self relationships. I learned how to create an inner “safe” world that has expanded out into the physical world. I still struggle with relationships and other issues related to BP but the confusion around the deep emotions I understand now.

I am so very happy this site is here and there is so much openness about BP. I hope my granddaughter find this kind of support.
