I feel that this is a relevant article from CNN:

Opinion: Doctor, LOOK at me - CNN.com

Copy and put in your browser to read.

We as patients have come a long way from 'the old days' when patients who came to see a doctor with a list of their concerns were frowned upon and largely viewed as "hypochondriacs." Only those of you who are older will know about that. I remember it and also feeling really self-conscious when I got out my list of concerns.

We - or rather the doctors - still have a ways to go. But, I have experienced one lone doctor who did her computer input after I left!
Thanks for this!
