I went to my GP to get a referral for a sleep study (test for sleep apnea), and he kept doubting and misinterpreting everything I said. He claimed he thought all of it was just due to "untreated mental illness." He accused me of canceling therapy sessions and avoiding my psychiatrist, and so he then took it upon himself to set up an appointment 2 hours later that same day with my pdoc.

And despite having an appointment with a person that's known me for years and prescribes my medication, the prick tried to put me on anti psychotic for "sleep problems" without telling me what class the drug was in (and I've been advised not to take APs because I've reacted severely everytime I've tried them). When I asked about getting the referral, I kid you not, he actually argued with me that it wasn't worth being tested for sleep apnea because he thought I wouldn't wear a CPAP machine. The small minded idiot couldn't even see the value in simply knowing what some of my symptoms could be attributed to.

I was relieved when my pdoc agreed that my gp was being a complete ***. I explained to him that I hadn't set up an appointment because I need a more thorough examination (neuropsych test) done first, which I've been waiting for months to get. Until then, I'm a volleyball named Wilson drifting at sea. I felt like if I had thrown a fit or refused to see my pdoc, he would have sent me to the ER for an evaluation. This man is the most arrogant, incompatible personality I've ever met. Unbelievable.
