I have a possible solution that I use and may work for you.
Pills that dissolve quickly > COLD water:
The trick to getting pills down is to have a glass of water (In lamictal's case, COLD water) and swish a little in your mouth before hand. Then take another big sip and hold the water in your mouth, then act like you are about to gurgle mouthwash (tilt your head up and open your mouth) then drop the lamictal in and swallow real fast. This way you do not have to put the pill in your mouth where it hits your tongue and immediately starts to dissolve. If the pill still gets stuck in your mouth, which happens on occasion and sucks but it is something you just have to deal with, just take another gulp and swallow down as soon as you can, and if this happens follow with chocolate or some jelly beans
Gelatin capsules - WARM / HOT water:
Swish the pill with hot water in your mouth for 5-10 seconds so that the gelatin partially disolves, this way the pill wont *stick* to the back of your throat.
Always follow pills that can possibly get stuck in your throat with a small bit of food.
