A couple years ago I was prescribed concerta (long acting ritalin) for inattentive add and it had a decent effect, but not great. I talked to my doctor about this and he upped the dosage a bit but it still didn't get better. He never recommended trying any other drugs and when I would ask him about it he'd shoot down the idea and I never pressed him. I eventually quit going to to therapy/psychiatrist. Any ideas why he did that? I'm a 35 year old male. I want to go back into therapy (to somewhere different) but I'd like to try a different drug and see if something else works better. Any thoughts?
