Be VERY careful weaning off Effexor. It is notorious for causing nightmarish withdrawal. I tried to wean off over three weeks after going on a new med and ended up hospitalized. A lot of docs aren't familiar with the intensity of withdrawal, so please, PLEASE be careful!!!!!
