Fear can protect us. It keeps us from taking risks that some times we need to take. In this case, it is the risk of going to College. It is safe place for him, to belittle oneself and college, and do nothing. Feeling low about one self and all, is an all to familiar place for this poster. He is strong and intelligent, and should take risks for himself. He is worthy, but he fears success, and feels he does not deserve success.
