That is a ridicules statement. My nephew got sober in AA when he was 16 and he was welcomed with open arms. There are alot of young people in AA. There are young peoples meetings. There is a young persons conference each year. I used to take my 17 years old daughter and her friends to meetings just so they know what it is like and to know they have that option. A couple of her friends were already in AA at 17.
You can get off the elevator at any floor. You don't have to wait until you have had all the consequences that others may have had.
