Concerta is easy to prescribe because it's hard to abuse so psychiatrists would prescribe that to keep a good reputation. For me it's a good med. I would suggest seeing another psychiatrist if he/she doesn't want to prescribe anything else.

Btw, Ritalin LA works ok for me but I know that it's probably the best med because it's not like they work 100%.
