Ah-HA!!!! The mystery is solved! And it was Sky's comment - it was in the viewing settings under advanced...for the computer that turned the light bulb on.

I use Firefox as my primary browser, but there are a few things (such as some graphics and sounds) that are quirky in it. I opened the site with IE and, voila!! No problem at all!
