It sounds like you and your pdoc are adjusting your meds right now. Lamictal is a med that one ramps up very slowly due to potential side effects. If you don't know about that please talk to your pdoc about that.

If you are reciving meds from two different docs do they both know what the other is prescribing? If not, I would suggest letting them know as sometimes they effect how other meds work when taken in conjunction.
