I just have to say that age has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with suicidal feelings. Young people can hurt, too. And young people contemplate suicide. It's a reality.

The tragedy of it is that when you have more life ahead of you and you choose to end your life, you're throwing more away before you even have a chance to experience it. BUT that thought doesn't stop the pain.

You know what it is like to be in a place where you've wanted to give up. I know that. You can understand what this person is feeling. It's true that suicidal posts are triggering and that is not fair to others who may be triggered by them. But the way that you have approached it in your post is not very compassionate, nor is it likely to help a person not feel suicidal.

I don't mean to launch a personal attack on you. You should know by now that I think you're a great person, and generally VERY compassionate and just all-around awesome. But I feel the need to counter your response.
