Twice I've had to call my therapist: once to see if it was OK to come in for walk-in hours the following morning because my dog killed my other dog and I was beside myself with guilt for accidentally having shut them in a room together. No return call one way or the other, so I just stayed drunk the next day and kept my appointment a few days later. I mentioned to her that I had called to try to come earlier, but she just let it pass, giving me no indication of whether she ever got a message or not.
The second time was last Friday (the 8th). I was heading out there a few hours early because we had ice storms and I didn't know how the roads would be. When I realized it was treacherous out there, I called to cancel and reschedule. They receptionist transferred me to her secretary, where I left a message because there was no answer. No call back. It makes me feel like I'm being blown off. I do realize that it's possible that her secretary might not be doing a very good job of getting messages to her but twice?
I'm tempted to try to reschedule again, but I feel like that's being creepy. Now I'm just at a loss. I had thought things were going well, but maybe that's part of some therapist trickery I don't understand? God, I hate this. I just want to get better. I was really committed to therapy but I'm losing my resolve over the feeling that they just want to be rid of me...
