The "correct" answer is yes, particularly if you are serious about getting help. If you don't feel comfortable with your T/Doc, if you are afraid they will reprimand you, you have a little more of a challenge. If you are afraid of their reaction, you could do some work around a similar issue, for example, you borrowed your BFFs dress without telling her. It was light yellow. Halfway through the night "someone" spilled a Bloody Mary on you and now the dress is ruined. You can work on "how to tell your friend" and " how to deal with her reaction. Will she continue to be your BFF?" This exercise could give you an idea of how the discussion about abuse will go.
I assume you want to continue to be deserving of your T's trust. At some point you will have to tell him. What are you afraid will happen? That he might take away the pills?
If you are thinking about telling you T it's because you are looking for his help in controlling this behavior.
Just my thoughts. Good Luck!
