Hope is tricky in that it is future-based rather than present moment. Hope works best for me when it is I-focused ... something like hope that it is possible for me to change, work on myself, and grow spiritually. From that perspective, I am not pinning my hope on another person or something outside to 'fix me'. I can tap into resources and get support along the way but at the end of the day my mental and spiritual health are an inside job.
