So I've had this recurring dream where I find a hidden door in my house. I've lived in the house for 10 years and there are definitely no hidden doors. I often think while having the dream "oh it's this dream again". Anyway in the dream I find this hidden door and open it only to find my house has an entire other floor or wing I've never seen before, except in the prior dreams of course. Many of the rooms are filled with interesting and enjoyable things, and sometimes I can vividly interact with objects in those rooms, but as I proceed I find a sense of danger and foreboding. In particular there is one door I will stop at and not have the nerve to open because it feels so terrible. Sometimes I will open the door and then everything goes blank. The last time I had this dream I was dreaming lucidly and stopped to think about it. When I did I heard stomping and snorting on the other side of the door. I immediately starting locking all the locks on the door, deadbolts, police locks, anything it had. Then I woke up to hallucinate a creature standing over me sniffing at me. I'm used to sleep paralysis hallucinations but it was very unnerving to see it slink back to the dark corner of the room and disappear.

I hate to interpret my own dreams, but it clearly tells me most of all that there are various mood states I move through (the rooms) but more concerning that there is a malevolent spirit visiting me and I have no idea what to do about it.
