I'm the same. I'm also diagnosed with burn out syndrome (not even my first) and so far the only thing that helps slightly is a zinc supplement and antihistamines. Burn out can be caused by emotional stress just as much as work-related stress and even when there's no proven allergy certain allergy-like symptoms (tiredness, headaches..) can be relieved with antihistamines. Fexofenadine hydrochloride works fine for me. You'd think they'll make you drowsy but I actually doze less during the day since I've started taking it. I know everyone is different so you may not need it or benefit from it but just in case it ever comes in handy...As for the emotional exhaustion and "blah-ness", nothing works for me yet. I especially hate feeling like this in spring. Flowers, sun, birds, happy people...ugh...I get the part about not being able to explain this to anyone. I've given up trying and accepted that they probably see me as lazy, immature or something and cannot understand why I won't "get a grip" already. I think they've given up, I've been like this all my life and the never ending guilt trip is the worst. Perhaps do a zinc deficiency test, I was shocked at how low my levels were and am actually feeling a tad less lethargic. I hope something works, hugs
