Your son is blessed to have parents who are helping him get help from an early age.
I was not lucky with that blessing. Nobody did a thing to help me. I don't understand that it likely would have made a difference.
I would find a support group for parents. I think that would really help you.
Stay strong and don't give up on your baby. You are making more of a difference than you realize.
