There are plenty of pdocs, psychs, and therapist with mental illness, including bipolar.

If anything you'd have an edge on other doctor because you can relate to your future patients better.

I usually ask anyone treating me if they have mental illness, and if they don't I know they truly won't understand...somethings can't really be put into words.
