My nephew at 16 went to an alcohol/addiction treatment center in the high Colorado Rockies. It was all outdoors. He has been clean and sober ever since.
I went to an alcohol/addiction treatment center in the Santa Cruz Mountains. It was beautiful. It was the best thing for me to get away. I have been clean and sober ever since.
These were treatment centers though. Not summer camp.
Maybe a depression treatment center is a good idea. Expensive, but maybe a good idea. There are not that many of them but they do exist.
