In AA I think you get a medal for hitting 30 days. Your half way there. I've met people who took months and months of intending to be sober to put together a 14 days stretch of time.
At 14 days you should be well past any withdrawal if you only have an alcohol problem. When you finally get a little more time sober, you won't believe how much easier your life will become. Just physically not having the drunk or high and then the hangover of withdrawal is going to make things easier. You will also get mentally/emotionally straightened out.
In a few years, when you look back on this, you are going to regret that you didn't do it years sooner. It will be one of those bitter/sweet regrets.
