I went to healthcare.gov.org and some other sites, to try and sign up for Obamacare...but either: 1.) each site locked me out or 2.) each site wanted employer information-would not accept unemployed...or 3.) one site had this premium of $600.00+ a month...WHAT????? I could not afford that when i was working?????

If you live in one of the states that expanded their Medicaid, go ahead and apply. If not, then I'm sorry.....this is one of the biggest flaws about Obamacare. It was NOT written into the mandates that all states expand their Medicaid to people previously not qualified (like a single, low-income man with no children, for example). Assets like homes may not count; each state is different I presume.
This is huge denial in this country about the MILLIONS of unemployed people, esp. long-term. They have no advocates, no voice, etc. If Medicaid won't accept them, then they fall through the cracks.
"Affordable" my ***. Even with the "assistance", not everybody qualifies for help. And a friend told me the income calculator is complicated. And how the **** do you estimate your income when many employers lay off people at the drop of a hat??? If you overestimate, you may end up owing the government money for their "assistance."
