I'm more thinking how animals are raised. Chicken that pick each other to death because lack of space or crammed into a cage so they can't move. At least where I live there are strict rules how cattle can live, it's not sooo bad. Not that I can afford beef.

Slaughter should be as stress free as possible of course, but the slaughter itself is just a short passage and the longest time is when the animal is raised. Also needless transport can be vile.

Some people just cannot deal with killing in any shape or form. They should not consume meat products. Me, I have killed and butchered, no biggie.
