I was a vegan for 6 years and I loved it, but I changed my diet because fish oil helps the most with bipolar disorder (and overall health) than just having omega 3 from plant sources. In my opinion people should have a mostly vegan diet, but still consume some white meat such as chicken and fish. Buying humanely raised animals that are fed proper diets is the best way to go when buying meat. Americans tend to eat too much meat and not enough vegetables which is a shame.
