Sound like the decision would be made when you are the most vulnerable and needy. So this would bias your view of him and the situation he is presenting to you. Also there are children involved. This complicates things very much for both you and your children.

I say go with something that is simple and familiar to both you and your children, even though it can prove not to be the best situation for you personally. In time, you can find better living arrangements once you are in better mental health.
