I used some weird techniques to help me with my panic attacks, but they did work....

This one sounds really stupid, but I would sing my symptoms out loud. As bad and scary as the panic attack was, I couldn't help but laugh and feel silly when I forced myself to do this. I would sing, "Gooiiiinnnng to vomit, got a racing hearrrrrrrt, gotta pass ooouuuuut, shaking soooo baad, la la la, doo da deeee..." I'm not even kidding about this. I would do it. Loud.

Also, I'm a pretty visual person (deep breathing never worked for me), so I would picture the panic attack in my head, as some sort of being-- like a gray, blob-like monster, or however you want to picture it... And then I'd picture myself kicking its @ss. (Can I say that here?) Oh well. Anyway, the visual technique would actually help me feel stronger, and know that my mind can take over the panic attack. That I am bigger and stronger than the attack and I can overtake it.

So yeah. The techniques are a little different. But so am I.

I hope you feel better.
