I am sober too, and I loved Burning Man. I'm going back this year. There are lots of drugs, but it's also great without them. I'm not into 12 step, but if you are, there are meetings all day every day.
I guess I had one semi slip while I was there, because I tried, but it didn't really work. I took LSD, but my meds blocked the effect, so all I experienced was very mild and only lasted a couple of hours. I don't count time for sobriety, so it doesn't matter to me, but if you are committed to continuous sobriety I guess it could be hard. I'm sober because I am drug tested regularly for work, so for me it's not my choice. But I think you can go and enjoy Burning Man while maintaining sobriety. The people I was camping with were doing a lot of drugs, so that made it harder. The people I'm going with this year are not into drugs beyond pot and alcohol, so that will be better for me.
My advice if you want to go is connect with the theme camp Anonymous Village to meet other sober Burners, and that will make it easier. It's a great festival, so I totally recommend it once you feel ready.
